GIS-Based Arable Land Identification and SWC Recommendations with AI Reporting

Welcome

GeoArable Advisor is a smart GIS-based platform for identifying arable land — land suitable for cultivating annual or seasonal crops — and providing site-specific Soil and Water Conservation (SWC) recommendations to reduce soil erosion, conserve soil fertility, and promote sustainable agricultural productivity. The platform also generates AI-assisted technical reports to support efficient planning and informed decision-making.

GIS-Based
Auto-fetches slope from Copernicus DEM and annual rainfall from Open-Meteo for any location in India.
Erosion Risk
Estimates soil loss (RUSLE: A = R×K×LS×C×P) and classifies risk as low / moderate / high.
15 Measures
Decision engine based on Table 4.1 in V.N. Sharda, A.K. Sikka & G.P. Juyal (2006). Participatory Integrated Watershed Management: A Field Manual. CSWCRTI, Dehradun.
AI Reporting
Generates plain-language site reports in English, Hindi, and Tamil using a connected language model.

Location Selection

Click anywhere on the map. The system fetches real elevation & rainfall and estimates slope, then fills the form below.

No location selected yet.

Land Details

How slope is found: ground elevation is sampled at your selected point and nearby points using the Open-Meteo Elevation API, and slope (%) is estimated as the maximum rise over run between them. Auto-filled — you can edit it.
How rainfall is found: annual rainfall is taken from the Open-Meteo Historical Weather (archive) API, based on ERA5 reanalysis data for your coordinates. Auto-filled — you can edit it.

Soil composition optional — for precise K-factor

Leave blank to use a standard estimate. Fill all six for a precise K (Wischmeier & Smith 1978).

Quick estimate — by soil type

Select your soil texture class for a typical published K value. Use this when you don't have measured soil composition.

Precise calculation — measured soil properties

Enter your soil test values. K is computed using the standard Wischmeier & Smith (1978) equation. This is a published equation, not a copy of any institute tool.
