Welcome to ICAR-IISWC (Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation)
Procurement of field instruments and their installation | DSC&WD will share the responsibility of procurement and installation of field instruments, as per the list given in the proposal, in pilot and monitoring MWS. However, the technical specifications and the support for installation will be provided by the collaborative partner to the DSC&WD. |
Collection of primary data from the field | Except the pilot MWS, data from the monitoring MWS are to be collected / retrieved and transmitted to the partner institutes by DSC&WD.ater conservation measures |
Geo-morphological characterization and water balance modeling at MWS scale | Primary and secondary data along with spatial maps of respective MWS will be used for hydrological modeling and simulation of water balance components. Further, the protocol for development of DSS to estimate water balance components will be prepared to downscale the hydrological information to LMU level |
I.Technical support in development of DSS for identification of potential locations for SWC structures II.Hydrologic and hydraulic design of soil and water conservation structures |
ICAR-IISWC, Sunabeda is the lead partner for calibration and validation of the surface runoff models and to formulate the protocol for DSS to select suitable location specific soil and water conservation structures, their capacity along with their designs. Hydrological, geomorphology and existing structural data relevant to identification of suitable sites for SWC structures in MWS. |
Technical support in development of DSS | For development of DSS, DSC&WD may hire external expert in preparation of DSS with the technical support of the collaborative patners. All the DSS modules will be combined in a single platform and hosted in server by DSC&WD. A web portal and user friendly mobile app will be developed by DSC&WD for the end users to derive required solutions. |
